Private departures only — never in a group

A marriage proposal staged in the Agafay desert, 45 minutes from Marrakech: a decorated spot on an empty ridgeline — flowers, lanterns, a dressed table — timed to the sunset, with the Atlas turning pink behind the only two people for a kilometre. The arrangement includes private transfers on a plausible pretext, the full decorated setup and toast, and coordination under total discretion: we handle everything, you handle four words. Dinner under the stars follows for those who want the evening to keep going, and the desert photoshoot pairs naturally for couples who want the moment kept. Every setup is quoted on your date and your wishes — scale it from intimate to theatrical — and secrecy holds from first message to the answer. Historically, that answer has always been yes. Written reply within the hour on WhatsApp.

Some questions deserve a desert. Our private proposal setup in the Agafay stages the moment properly: a decorated spot on an empty ridgeline — flowers, lanterns, a dressed table — timed to the sunset, with the Atlas going pink behind the only two people for a kilometre. We handle everything; you handle four words.

The standard arc: we collect you both from Marrakech on a pretext of a sunset excursion; the drive ends at a setup only one of you knew about. Champagne-style toast (or mint tea, poured with ceremony), a photographer capturing the yes from a discreet distance if you wish, and — for the full version — dinner for two under the stars afterwards.

Every proposal is designed to the couple, which is why this is a quoted experience rather than a menu price: tell us the story, the date and the dream on WhatsApp and we return a detailed, itemised proposal (the plan kind) within a day. Discretion guaranteed — we have kept more secrets than any riad concierge in Marrakech.

Questions travellers ask

How long is this tour and when does it depart?+

Sunset · evening, departing on the dates you choose — there is no fixed schedule, because every departure is arranged for you alone.

Is this a group tour or private?+

Fully private: your own vehicle, driver and licensed guide, never seat-in-coach and never mixed with other travellers. The daily pace flexes around you.

What is the Agafay desert, exactly?+

A rolling stone desert of pale, moon-like hills half an hour south-west of Marrakech — no great sand dunes, but genuine desert scenery with the snow line of the High Atlas as its backdrop. It has become the city's favourite evening escape, and ours: sunset here costs forty minutes, not four hundred kilometres.

Agafay or the Sahara — which should I choose?+

Different products for different budgets of time. The Sahara (Erg Chebbi or Zagora) is the real sand sea and needs two to four days; the Agafay delivers a desert evening — camel ride, camp dinner, sunset over stone hills — inside a single Marrakech day. Many travellers sensibly do both.

What can I do in the Agafay?+

Sunset camel rides, quad-biking sessions, camp dinners under lanterns with music, overnight stays at luxury camps, and increasingly yoga and stargazing evenings. Our Agafay excursions run daily from Marrakech with riad pickup included.

Can I sleep in the Agafay?+

Yes — the camps range from simple to seriously luxurious (private bathrooms, plunge pools, chef dinners). An Agafay night is the desert-camp experience without the long drive, which makes it perfect for tight schedules and special evenings; our Magic in Morocco route uses exactly that card.
