- Jemaa el-Fna at dusk — the square becomes an open-air theatre of food stalls and musicians

Planning Marrakech
- Menara airport (RAK) is 6 km from the medina — 15 minutes by car
- 3 nights is the sweet spot for a first visit; add day trips rather than moving hotels
- Best months: October–April; June–August is hot but hotel rates drop
- Agafay desert is 45 minutes away, Essaouira 2 h 45, the Sahara dunes start at 6 h (Zagora)
- Riads inside the medina are car-free — our drivers meet you at the nearest gate

How many days do you need in Marrakech?
Three nights covers the essentials — medina, palaces, gardens, one great dinner — at a humane pace. Add one night per day trip (Agafay, Essaouira, the Atlas valleys) rather than rushing the city itself.
Is Marrakech walkable?
The medina is entirely walkable — and car-free by design. Distances outside it are short: Majorelle is 10 minutes by taxi from the square, Menara airport 15 minutes. For day trips beyond the city, a private driver is the standard.
