How much does a chauffeur-driven car cost in Morocco?
In Morocco, hiring a vehicle with a professional driver costs between €250 and €400 per day depending on the class: a Mercedes Vito van (up to 7 passengers) or a Toyota Prado TX 4×4 from €250/day, a Mercedes E-Class sedan from €350/day, a C-Class or an Audi A8 from €400/day. The rate covers the vehicle, the driver and waiting time between stops; mileage and hours are fixed in a written quote. Intercity transfers are billed per journey and per vehicle — for example €250 for Marrakech–Casablanca Airport or €200 for Marrakech–Essaouira — which, shared between passengers, is often cheaper than first-class rail per person, door to door.
What exactly is chauffeur-driven hire?
Chauffeur-driven hire means a vehicle and its driver remain at your exclusive service for an agreed period — a day, a week or a full mission. You set the hours and the stops; the driver handles the road, parking, waiting and the unexpected. It differs from a transfer (a single fixed-price journey) and from self-drive rental (which is not permitted for commercial tourist transport in Morocco, where a licence is required). It is the standard formula for official delegations, business roadshows and film productions: the same driver from first day to last, a schedule kept to the quarter-hour, and a day rate known in advance.
