Private departures only — never in a group

Seven days built around Morocco’s table: guided food tours in Fes and Marrakech, dinner at a family home, a baking class and a cooking class, the Guerrouane winery between the imperial cities, and fish straight off the boats in Essaouira — from €1200 per person, private throughout, with your own driver and food-minded local guides.

This is the itinerary for travellers who plan trips around meals. The route follows the flavours rather than the monuments: Fes for the old city’s bakeries, spice souks and the family table; the vineyards of Guerrouane — Morocco’s main wine country — on the road south; Marrakech for the street-food masterclass that is Jemaa el-Fna, a market-to-table cooking class and the hammam that follows a serious meal; Essaouira for the port grills, the argan cooperatives and a final seafood feast.

Every meal that defines the trip is arranged, not improvised: tables booked, families expecting you, classes reserved with cooks who teach rather than perform. Monuments still happen — Fes’s medina, Aït Ben Haddou if you take the desert option, Essaouira’s ramparts — but they fit around the food, not the other way round.

It suits couples and small groups of friends, works year-round, and adapts to any diet — tell us your constraints when you write. Dates on WhatsApp; the full menu of a quote, day by day, comes back within the hour.

Itinerary

Open a day to see the detail: transport, accommodation, meals and activity time.

Day 1 Casablanca to Fes, first tastes

Arrival and the road to Fes with a pastry stop worth planning a trip around. Evening: a first walk to dinner in the medina, tables already booked.

Day 2 Fes food tour, dinner at a family table

A guided morning through the old city's bakeries, olive stalls, spice souks and the communal ovens that still bake the neighbourhood's bread. Dinner cooked and shared at a family home.

Day 3 Baking class, then the medina properly

Morning hands in the dough — msemen, ghriba, the breads of Fes — then a guided afternoon in the medina for the monuments between meals.

Day 4 The Guerrouane vineyards to Marrakech

South through Morocco's main wine country: a Guerrouane estate visit and tasting, lunch among the vines, then the road to the Red City.

Day 5 Marrakech: market to table

A cooking class that starts in the souk — choosing, haggling, learning the spice logic — and ends eating what you made. Evening masterclass: Jemaa el-Fna's food stalls, guided.

Day 6 Essaouira: the port and the argan road

The argan cooperatives on the coast road, then Essaouira's port at catch time: pick the fish at the boats, eat it grilled at the stalls. Night by the ocean.

Day 7 One last souk, then home

A morning to stock the suitcase — spices, argan, the sweets you now know by name — and the road to your departure airport.

Good to know

Appetite is the only prerequisite: distances are moderate, walking is medina-paced, and every dietary constraint (vegetarian, halal-only, allergies) reshapes the menus — tell us when you book. Alcohol stops are optional and skipped on request.
