Private departures only — never in a group

Before the film studios, Ouarzazate’s importance stood in pisé: Taourirt, the kasbah commanding the crossroads where the Draa, Dades and Marrakech roads meet. Under the Glaoui it housed hundreds — family, retainers, storerooms — in a hive of nearly three hundred rooms whose finest floors keep their painted ceilings and cedar lattices.

Restoration campaigns (with UNESCO involvement) have stabilised the showpiece apartments, and wandering the maze — stairways to nowhere, light wells, sudden painted salons — is the best crash course in how kasbah life actually worked. The neighbouring lanes still house craftsmen; the terrace views run to the Atlas one way and kasbah-country the other.

Allow 45 minutes, plus the artisan quarter. Taourirt slots into any desert itinerary’s Ouarzazate hour — our Ouarzazate day trip (from €30/person) and every Sahara circuit pass its gates, with Amridil and Aït Ben Haddou completing the great earthen trio.

Good to know

Go early or late — tour-bus noon flattens the atmosphere. The rooftop terraces are the photo; the painted salons are the reason.

Questions travellers ask

How do I book a tour?+

Pick a circuit and use the booking widget on its page (choose a date and number of travellers), or simply message us on WhatsApp at +212 661 454 738 with your dates and group size. You receive a booking reference (KM-XXXXXX) and a reply within the hour. No payment is taken at this stage.

Can I send my request by email instead of WhatsApp?+

Yes. The booking form lets you choose how to send your request — by WhatsApp or by email — and we answer through the channel you picked. Either way your request is registered with the same reference number.

What happens after I send a booking request?+

We check availability for your date, confirm the price for your group size, and send back a confirmation with your reference. Only once you approve that confirmation is anything considered booked.

When and how do I pay?+

After your booking is confirmed you can pay securely online, or on site in cash or by bank transfer before departure. We never ask for payment before confirming availability and price in writing.
