The most common pre-booking question, answered cleanly — with the caveat that entry rules belong to governments, not tour operators: verify your nationality’s current status with an official source before flying.

The 90-day club

Citizens of the EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries enter Morocco visa-free for up to 90 days as tourists. You land, you get a stamp, you’re in. No forms in advance, no fees at the border.

What everyone needs regardless

A passport that airlines will accept — practically, six months’ validity and a blank page. Keep the entry stamp safe: hotels record it and you will want it at departure. Minors need their own passports; a child travelling without both parents may be asked for an authorisation letter (airlines check this more than borders do).

If your nationality does need a visa

Applications go through Moroccan consulates or the official e-visa portal where eligible. Once your tour is confirmed we provide the booking letter for your file — ask early, consular calendars are unhurried.

Overstays and extensions

The 90 days are generous for tourism; extensions exist but involve police prefecture paperwork most visitors never need. Planning under three months? You will never think about this again.

Full entry practicalities — ferries from Spain, checkpoints, arrival forms — live in the visas & entry FAQ. Then the fun part: choosing the route.

About the author

Anas Benjelloun — Anas covers the practical side of travelling in Morocco — money, SIM cards, taxis, scams to sidestep, what things cost and when to book. He updates his pages the boring way, by checking, and takes a quiet pride in the fact that his airport-to-medina instructions have never stranded anyone. If a price appears in one of his articles, he has paid it recently.

Questions travellers ask

How do I book a tour?+

Pick a circuit and use the booking widget on its page (choose a date and number of travellers), or simply message us on WhatsApp at +212 661 454 738 with your dates and group size. You receive a booking reference (KM-XXXXXX) and a reply within the hour. No payment is taken at this stage.

Can I send my request by email instead of WhatsApp?+

Yes. The booking form lets you choose how to send your request — by WhatsApp or by email — and we answer through the channel you picked. Either way your request is registered with the same reference number.

What happens after I send a booking request?+

We check availability for your date, confirm the price for your group size, and send back a confirmation with your reference. Only once you approve that confirmation is anything considered booked.

When and how do I pay?+

After your booking is confirmed you can pay securely online, or on site in cash or by bank transfer before departure. We never ask for payment before confirming availability and price in writing.
