“Tailor-made” is the most abused phrase in travel — often meaning a template with your name pasted on. Here is what the real thing looks like, step by step, as we practise it from Marrakech.
Step one: the conversation, not the brochure
It starts with your dates, your people and your appetites — history or hiking, camps or riads, slow mornings or full days. Ten minutes on WhatsApp usually tells us more than any form: who is travelling, what would delight them, what would exhaust them.
Step two: the skeleton
We draft a route against the real map — driving times as they are, not as brochures wish them. The rules we hold: no hotel-hopping for its own sake, the desert given the nights it needs, and one day in three left loose enough to breathe. You get the draft with named riads, named camps and a from-price — nothing generic.

Step three: the redraft (this is the tailor-made part)
You push back — more coast, less driving, a birthday dinner, a cooking class — and the route bends. Because every departure is private, changes cost conversation, not fees. Even mid-trip: the itinerary stays yours to adjust with the driver each morning.
What it costs and where to start
Tailor-made with us starts from the same honest €150 per person per day as our published circuits — which make excellent starting sketches to bend. Send the first message via plan your journey; the reply comes from the person who will actually run your trip.
Meryem Chami — Meryem writes itineraries with a planner's eye for the second visit — the routes for people who have already seen Marrakech and the dunes and want the country between them. She specialises in loops that avoid backtracking, coast-to-desert combinations, and the unglamorous logistics (fuel stops, prayer-time closures, market days) that make a route actually flow.
