Each April, Meknès hosts the largest event in the kingdom by sheer humanity: SIAM, the International Agriculture Show — a million visitors, exhibitors from scores of countries, and every region of Morocco presenting its terroir like a nation-scale farmers’ market. It is a professional fair that the public adores: prize bulls and dates, olive oils and argan, tasting alleys that outclass most food festivals.

Why a traveller might actually go

Because Morocco is agricultural to its soul — the mint in your tea, the olives in every souk, the whole canon — and SIAM is that soul on display with its producers standing behind the table. The regional pavilions amount to a gastronomic tour of the country in an afternoon.

The practical counsel

Dates (April) and visitor days on the official site — some days are trade-only, so check the public schedule. Meknès lodging fills with delegations; nearby Fes absorbs the overflow, 45 minutes away.

Building a trip around it

April is peak imperial-cities season anyway: fold SIAM into our 7-day imperial circuit (from €1050/person) — Meknès, Volubilis and Bab Mansour are already on the route.

Coming to Morocco for the event? Tell us your dates on WhatsApp and we build the rest privately around your programme — guided city days, day trips, desert nights and transfers, never in a group. The mechanics are in our booking FAQ, and the full calendar lives on our Events in Morocco page.

Questions travellers ask

How do I book a tour?+

Pick a circuit and use the booking widget on its page (choose a date and number of travellers), or simply message us on WhatsApp at +212 661 454 738 with your dates and group size. You receive a booking reference (KM-XXXXXX) and a reply within the hour. No payment is taken at this stage.

Can I send my request by email instead of WhatsApp?+

Yes. The booking form lets you choose how to send your request — by WhatsApp or by email — and we answer through the channel you picked. Either way your request is registered with the same reference number.

What happens after I send a booking request?+

We check availability for your date, confirm the price for your group size, and send back a confirmation with your reference. Only once you approve that confirmation is anything considered booked.

When and how do I pay?+

After your booking is confirmed you can pay securely online, or on site in cash or by bank transfer before departure. We never ask for payment before confirming availability and price in writing.
