Agadir & the South Coast

Agadir is Morocco's beach capital — 300 days of sun, a 10-kilometre crescent of sand and the gateway to the Souss and the southern coast, about three hours from Marrakech. We run it as a private day trip from €35 per person, or as the coastal chapter of longer circuits.

Rebuilt modern after the 1960 earthquake, Agadir trades medina atmosphere for space, surf and seafood. It suits families, winter sun and the start of the deep south — Taghazout's surf breaks, Paradise Valley's rock pools and the argan hills behind.

What to see and do

Planning Agadir & the South Coast

  • About 3h from Marrakech on the motorway — the easiest coast to reach
  • Winter is the point: 20°C+ when Europe is grey
  • Pair it with Essaouira up the coast or the Anti-Atlas behind
