Can you visit Tangier as a day trip from Spain?
Easily — Tarifa–Tanger Ville is ≈35 minutes by fast ferry, landing at the medina's feet. A guided day covers the kasbah, the Grand Socco and lunch in the medina. Better still: make it the first day of a Morocco circuit rather than the only one.
Is Tangier safe for tourists?
Today, yes — the port-city grit of legend has been heavily invested away: a renovated medina, a new marina, cruise calls and the TGV. Normal city rules apply (mind bags in crowds, agree taxi fares), no more than in any Mediterranean port.
