Days 1–4: the northern descent
Casablanca arrival and the Hassan II Mosque; Rabat’s Udayas on the way north; two nights in Chefchaouen for the blue at its empty hours; then over the Rif to Fes for days 3–4 — the guided medina immersion plus a Volubilis half-day.
Days 5–8: the great diagonal
Day 5 crosses the Middle Atlas — Ifrane, cedars, the Ziz canyon — to the desert’s edge (the honest long day). Day 6: Erg Chebbi — golden-hour camels, private camp, the sky. Day 7: Todgha gorge at dawn and the Dades valley. Day 8: Skoura’s oasis and Aït Ben Haddou at its quiet evening hour.
Days 9–12: over the pass and out in style
Day 9 crosses the Tichka into Marrakech for two full days — the guided medina, then gardens, hammam or a valley lunch. Day 11 offers the coda by taste: Essaouira for Atlantic air, or the Agafay sunset, or nothing but a rooftop. Day 12: departure from RAK with the whole country behind you.
