Morocco has real low seasons with real price drops — and a parallel market of fake ‘deals’ engineered for booking sites. Here is when the country genuinely costs less, and how to tell discount from theatre.

The honest price calendar

Cheapest: mid-January (post-réveillon), June (pre-summer inland lull) and November (post-October rush) — riads drop 20–40% and camps negotiate. Priciest: Easter week, October, and the New Year fortnight, when the famous small properties simply sell out. Wildcard: Ramadan weeks run quiet and gentle on prices, with rhythms shifted rather than closed.

Where the savings actually live

Accommodation is the elastic cost — the same riad varies by half across the calendar. Transport, guiding and food barely move seasonally, which is why our from-€150/day baseline stays honest year-round while the same route’s hotel tier flexes with your dates.

Spotting deal theatre

‘70% off’ on inflated rack rates, ‘luxury camp’ at a price that cannot include ensuite bathrooms, group seats sold as private — the classics. A real deal names the riad, the camp and the inclusions; a fake one names only the percentage.

Our version of a deal

Travel the honest low windows and we pass the accommodation savings into the quote — same route, same standard, smaller number. Tell us flexible dates on plan your journey and we will show you the calendar’s sweet spots; the budget FAQ covers the rest.

Plan it properly

About the author

Anas Benjelloun — Anas covers the practical side of travelling in Morocco — money, SIM cards, taxis, scams to sidestep, what things cost and when to book. He updates his pages the boring way, by checking, and takes a quiet pride in the fact that his airport-to-medina instructions have never stranded anyone. If a price appears in one of his articles, he has paid it recently.

Questions travellers ask

How do I book a tour?+

Pick a circuit and use the booking widget on its page (choose a date and number of travellers), or simply message us on WhatsApp at +212 661 454 738 with your dates and group size. You receive a booking reference (KM-XXXXXX) and a reply within the hour. No payment is taken at this stage.

Can I send my request by email instead of WhatsApp?+

Yes. The booking form lets you choose how to send your request — by WhatsApp or by email — and we answer through the channel you picked. Either way your request is registered with the same reference number.

What happens after I send a booking request?+

We check availability for your date, confirm the price for your group size, and send back a confirmation with your reference. Only once you approve that confirmation is anything considered booked.

When and how do I pay?+

After your booking is confirmed you can pay securely online, or on site in cash or by bank transfer before departure. We never ask for payment before confirming availability and price in writing.
