The independent budget week
Backpacker-to-midrange, per person: hostels or simple riads; trains and buses on the imperial corridor; street food and café meals; entries and a shared desert excursion. Travellers who watch the dirhams commonly land around €45–80 per day — call it €350–550 for the week before flights, at the cost of logistics being your daily part-time job.
The comfortable independent week
Character riads, one nice dinner a day, private transfers where buses bore you: €80–120 per day, or €600–850 for the week — the sweet spot many couples actually spend, as our Marrakech cost guide details.
The private-circuit week — our own numbers
Fully organised and fully private — your 4×4, driver, licensed guide, riads and the Sahara camp included — starts at a published €150 per person per day: the 7-day imperial-and-Sahara circuit runs from €1050. What the premium buys is not luxury for its own sake but zero logistics, zero group, and days engineered around light and pace.
