Asking for Morocco’s best month is like asking for a restaurant’s best dish — best for what? The country runs several climates at once, so the honest answer is a table, not a month. Here it is, experience by experience.
For the Sahara
October–April. Warm days, cold star-heavy nights; March–April and October–November are the sweet spots. Summer desert runs are possible — dawn starts, air-conditioned driving, camp after sunset — but spring and autumn are kinder to everyone.
For the cities
Almost year-round, with March–May and September–November the comfortable-on-foot windows. Midsummer in Marrakech and Fes means early mornings, shaded courtyards and rooftop evenings — workable, and quieter than the postcard months.

For the coast and the mountains
June–September is when Essaouira and Agadir earn their keep — the alizé wind keeps the Atlantic edge fresh while the interior bakes. The High Atlas walks best April–May and September–October; Toubkal in winter becomes a proper alpine objective, crampons and all.
Putting it together
The elegant trick is sequencing, not season-hunting: an October route can hit dunes, cities and coast in their best light on one loop. Our season-by-season reasoning lives in the full guide; when you know your month, the circuits show what it unlocks, and plan your journey turns the month into a route.
