Plenty of travellers land in Agadir for the beach and only later discover the country attached to it. Seven days is enough to correct that generously: the Atlantic coast north, Marrakech in the middle, and an imperial finish — without giving back the sea air you came for.
Days 1–2: the coast you already have
Day 1: Agadir itself — the kasbah viewpoint by cable car, the marina, a last long beach afternoon. Day 2: north along the argan coast (yes, the goats climb the trees; no, nobody is joking) to Essaouira — ramparts, fishing port, gnaoua rhythms in the lanes. One of Morocco’s easiest towns to love.
Days 3–4: the red city
The morning road to Marrakech (about 3 hours) and two proper days: the guided medina day — Bahia palace, the souks’ geography, Jemaa el-Fna as theatre — then a flexible day for gardens, museums or an Atlas valley lunch. Marrakech rewards the second day the way Fes rewards the third.
Days 5–7: the imperial extension
The fast train of thought runs Marrakech→Casablanca→Rabat: Hassan II Mosque at midday, the capital’s Udayas and Chellah by late afternoon, and day 7 for Rabat’s calm or a Fes lightning visit before the flight home from Casablanca — the airport geometry that makes this route end so cleanly.
